Short Stay Description

This Viñales package of minimum 2 days/1 night, can be attached to either the beginning or the end of our 15 day Original Cuba Tour, or as a stand alone tour. At 3 hours from Havana, a visit to the spectacular Viñales valley makes for a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Havana and a chance to see Cuba's most famous cigar producing region. Vinales offers stunning mountainous scenery, sprawling tobacco fields and friendly locals. You will be accompanied throughout by one of our tour guides who knows Viñales intimately and will introduce you to her/his friends and organise any of the available optional excursions for you. Accommodation is in local Bed & Breakfasts.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 - Havana to Viñales

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or guesthouse in Havana at 9am. It's about 3.5 hours drive by taxi or mini-bus to Viñales. On the way however we will make a short detour to the small mountain villages of Las Terrazas and Soroa. The community of Las Terrazas is a UNESCO world heritage site for it's preserved natural environment, and Soroa is a charming place for it's waterfall and well-maintained orchid garden. Upon reaching Vinales you will check in to your Bed & Breakfast accommodation. The guide will show you around Vinales and suggest activities for you to do together during your stay in Vinales. The guide will no doubt also offer to take you out at night to the local music venues and to meet his/her friends.

Day 2 - Return to Havana

Optional activities in Vinales. Private transport (taxi or micro-bus) back to Havana at a time of your choosing .

If you book the tour as an individual, you will have a room to yourself. Otherwise accommodation is twin-share. Additional rooms required above this configuration are £22 GBP per room per night.
